Understanding of health problems and complex pathological processes of the organism requires perfect knowledge of human anatomy. Anatomy lies at the heart of medical education and science. This textbook is written in accordance with the program and experience of teaching in medical universities. The authors compiled a brief explanation of the meaning of all the necessary anatomical terms with the accessibility of studying material. Certain attention was paid to the clinical aspects. The textbook is based on the International Anatomical Nomenclature, adopted by the Federal Committee on Anatomical Terminology (FCAT) in 1997. In each section, filed according to the systemic principle, topographical and functional features, development, possible abnormalities are described. The material is supplemented with classic and original drawings. The authors hope that the textbook will be useful for students in studying the subject “Human Anatomy” at the first and second years of medical schools, and for medical and public health practitioners who need to improve their anatomical knowledge.
